1996년 오랜 암투병 끝에 서른 셋의 나이로 요절했다는 Eva Cassidy의 노래를 듣습니다.
갑작스레 마구 슬퍼진 이 시간, 이 노래는 엄청난 크기의 위로로 (마치 강력 드라이기처럼)  가슴의 습기를 날려버렸습니다.

왜 이런 훌륭한 사람들은 꼭 요절을 해서, 아무 하는 일 없이 오래 살고 있는 사람들을 부끄럽게 하냐는 내말에, zelkova는 대답했지요.
우리가 더 오래 살고 있는 건 훌륭하지 못해서 그래.
더 여한이 없을 만큼 훌륭하게 산 사람들이 요절하는 법이라구.

그 요절한 가수가 남긴, 심금을 울리는 이 멋진 노래들을,
별 볼일 없이 살아남아  맘껏 들으며 위로를 받는 나....  

아,  정말 멋지지 않나요?
